
Multiple Horse Entry
Conditions:
- All horses should be registered in any WAHO recognized studbook.
- Horses should be accompanied by passport.
- Horses should be accompanied by original Veterinary Health Certificate and Certificate of Origin issued by Government Authorities of Exporting Countries.
- The importer should apply for a permit before arrival of the consignment of horses, at least 2 weeks before departure.
Quarantine:
All competing horses will get a temporary import permit in the Sultanate of Oman. The horses will quarantine at the show ground of the event and a representative from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Recourses will be available at the event office for finalizing export permits.
Lab test requirements:
Permits will be issued only after the following tests have been performed with negative result during the 90 days before export from the country of export:
Middle East & North Africa:
– Coggins test for Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA).
– Compliment fixation test for Glanders with negative result at dilution 1 in 10.
– Compliment fixation test or ELISA test for African Horse Sickness (AHS).
European Union:
– Coggins test for Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA).
– Compliment fixation test for Dourine with negative result at a dilution 1 in 10.
– Compliment fixation test for Glanders with negative result at dilution 1in 10.
– Compliment fixation test or ELISA test for African Horse Sickness (AHS).
The above tests shall be carried out from the Laboratory recognized by the European Union or WOAH-OIE.
- Title Show or A Show Champion Gold and Silver medal winners are not allowed to take part in a B show for the rest of that calendar year and the two calendar years following, unless the horse has passed from a yearling to junior, from junior to a senior category
- Gold medal winners in two B International Shows in the same year are not allowed to take part in a B International Show for the rest of that calendar year
- Anybody entering an overqualified horse will be liable to a fine of €600 and the horse will be disqualified
- ٍShow organizers should consult with their National Association / Registry in case there are any additional restrictions
- ID copy of the authorized signatory and the horse owner
- Copy of the horse’s registration in studbook
- Copy of the horse’s passport and vaccination records
- Copy of entry fee payment
Any uncompleted form will be rejected
